In this topic:
- Extracting the Helm chart zip file
- Installing the Helm chart
- Accessing the Deploy UI
- Uninstalling the Helm chart
Follow the instructions in the sections below to install Deploy on OpenShift on AWS using helm charts.
Extract the zipped build file of the Digital.ai Deploy Helm chart, using the following command:
tar -zxvf <build-file>.tgz
Once you extract the file, make a note of the path where you have extracted the zip file and the extracted folder name. We will be using these to replace the values of
<deploy-chart-name> while installing the Deploy Helm chart.
We are using the helm deploy name as
xld-production. For your setup, replace
xld-production in the command below, with your helm deploy name.
helm install xld-production /<path-to-the-chart>/<deploy-chart-name>
- You might want to wait for a few minutes for the services to be up and running.
- For OpenShift, one may either define the scc for XLD accordingly. However, we have used the default scc Privileged.
To see the status of the pods run the command given below:
oc get pods
The output of the command will be similar to this:
By default, the route exposes the service by giving it an externally reachable hostname. This can be seen by the command below:
oc get route
You can access the Digital.ai Deploy UI by forming the URL below:
To get password for signing in to Digital.ai Deploy dashboard, run this command:
helm status xld-production
You can fetch the password from the output of the command above. You can also get the URL for accessing the UI of the Digital.ai Deploy dashboard from the output of the command above.
Alternatively, before you start deploying the helm chart, you can also provide the password directly using the
AdminPassword parameter in the
values.yaml file, as shown below:
AdminPassword: admin # Provide the admin password to be used
To uninstall/delete the chart with the deploy name xld-production:
helm uninstall xld-production
Note: If you plan to reuse the persistent volumes, we highly recommend that you backup all the data before you uninstall the chart.
